Public Transportation

Using the MBTA system is often the most efficient way to reach the Seaport District, as it avoids city traffic and parking fees.

Silver Line (SL1, SL2, SL3): The museum is a short walk from the Courthouse station. Upon exiting the station, walk east on Seaport Boulevard toward the harbor.

Red Line: Take the Red Line to South Station. From there, you can either walk approximately 10–12 minutes across the Summer Street bridge or transfer to the Silver Line for a one-stop ride to Courthouse station.

Commuter Rail: Passengers arriving at South Station from the south or west can walk or transfer to the Silver Line. Those arriving at North Station should take the Orange Line to Downtown Crossing and transfer to the Red Line toward South Station.

Driving and Parking

If you are driving, the museum is located near the intersection of Seaport Boulevard and Sleepers Street, easily accessible from I-90 (Mass Pike) and I-93.

One Seaport Garage: Located at 75 Sleeper Street, this is the closest self-park facility to the museum entrance.

Watermark Seaport Garage: Situated at 85 Seaport Blvd, this garage offers convenient access just a block away from the venue.

Atlantic Wharf Garage: Located at 280 Congress Street, this provides an alternative option just across the Fort Point Channel, roughly a 7-minute walk away.

Walking and Biking

The museum is located along the Boston Harborwalk, making it a scenic destination for those traveling on foot from downtown or the Waterfront.

Bluebikes: There are several bike-share docks in the immediate vicinity, including stations at Seaport Blvd and Sleeper Street, as well as near the Moakley Federal Courthouse.

The sprinkle pool is designed with an accessible entry point; however, guests with physical mobility constraints should note that the pool contains deep layers of plastic sprinkles which may require assistance for some individuals to navigate. The experience is highly sensory, featuring bright lights, amplified music, and interactive sounds. While the museum does not currently offer dedicated "quiet hours" on a daily basis, staff members are trained to assist guests who may need a calmer environment or a temporary exit from the main path.
